Jet Home is a New Look on an Old Design [Home Is Where The Art Is]

The Jet Home by designer Jérôme Olivet is certainly one of the craziest designs we’ve ever seen for a home. At first we were amazed with the “grounded space craft” looking three story structure. But then we got to thinkin’. This isn’t too much different than the UFO house built in the 70s. The Jet Home has an elevator and two jet-car garage, where as the UFO home has a button activated stair case and a two normal-car garage. After giving it a little more thought, the Jet House is basically just an updated UFO Home that looks cooler. Well actually, much cooler. [Yanko Design]
What do you do if you’ve a focus ion beam microscope normally used to make nano-devices, a scanning electron microscope and some spare time? Well, you etch your university logo onto a human hair, of course! At least, if you’re the Engineering Dept at McMaster University you do. It’s not the smallest logo ever— that’s an IBM one with 35 xenon atoms, I believe. But it’s possibly the ickiest, and it’s certainly high resolution. Impressive. We’ve only got one quibble: the uni logo, guys? I’m sure Giz readers would be more imaginative.
At least some of you are reading this article because of the word “Playboy” in the headline, but unfortunately, the product isn’t all that provocative. By Alcatel, the Playboy-branded OT-V770A features a 1.3MP camera, 10MB of on-board memory, microSD support and, here’s the kicker, a Playboy bunny logo.
