Just like we told you yesterday, the Starbucks free Wi-Fi program with AT&T is officially a go today. If you go to sign up for a Starbucks card, you get the option of with or without Wi-Fi. As long as you use the prepaid card once a month, you get two hours of free Wi-Fi a day. Welcome to 2008, Starbucks. [Harbucks]

E-TEN has announced 3 new Glofiish Windows Mobile 6.1 handsets from Computex 2008, managing to score the “Best Choice of Computex” award for one.
From left to right, in the image above:
- X610: Budget handset, intended primarily for basic communications and GPS.
- X900: A followup to E-TEN’s X800 - UTMS/HSDPA, VoIP Calling, VGA display
- DX900: This is the first Windows Mobile handset with the ability to handle two SIM cards at once, snagging it the “Best Choice of Computex” award. The device supports both HSDPA and EDGE, and packs in GPS, WiFi, VGA display, and a 3 megapixel autofocus camera
I’m generally not too impressed with E-TEN stuff, but I could see myself sportin’ a DX900. If nothing else, it would make traveling a bit less painful. No word yet on pricing or availability.

Luckily, my electric bill is covered by the building (I pay for gas), but those of you who have to pay your own way, take heed of this advice: turn off your video game console, and make sure they’re not in standby mode.
A recent study shows that a PS3 plugged in and on standby pulls five times as much electricity as a refrigerator similarly plugged in.
Other electronic devices, like plasma Televisions and laptops, use a decent amount of electricity while plugged in, even if not in use.
Moral of the story? Unplug all your electronics if you don’t want to spend any more of your money on utilities.

Whenever a new device launches, there tends to be an unspoken battle amongst all of the sites to get the best unboxing shots up before anyone else. It’s madness.
Well, it looks like some Sprint employee has beaten everyone to the punch by about 2 1/2 weeks. Josh33_unc over at SprintUsers was treated to an unboxing gallery via a series of MMS sent by a buddy at Sprint, and he was cool enough to share the goods.
Regardless of these shots, everyone will still be rushing to get ultra-hi-res unboxing shots from 400 different angles in as many lighting environments as possible come June 20th. It’ll still be madness.
Check out the full unboxing
